More iPod Nano, Shuffle, Touch Update Info Rumored

Building up from reports earlier this week, 9to5Mac has come into some more information about refreshes that they think will hit the iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle, and iPod Touch lineup.

According to their sources, the iPod Shuffle will receive only a minor update, potentially a storage boost, and with eight colors available instead of the existing five.

The iPod Nano is apparently due for a major refresh, as indicated by a totally new codename. It’s apparently set to also be available in eight colors, though may only be available in high-price, high-capacity form at launch.

The iPod Touch may have the biggest change of all, with the current design hanging around for entry level models, and higher end ones will be redesigned and available for $299 and $399.

The redesigns of the iPod Nano and iPod Touch seem to gel with leaks of iPod cases that have recently come to light.

  1. A comeback for the iPod fatty?

  2. I don’t think a change to the iPod Nano form factor would be a good idea, unless they plan to keep around the square one which is frequently used as a watch. I don’t know how popular it is, but I love mine.
