Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 Coming October 26

Microsoft has confirmed (via ZDNet) that the Office for Mac 2011 suite will be available for purchase on October 26th. Pre-orders start today on Amazon. Office for Mac 2011 was RTM (released to manufacturing) on September 10th. There will be three versions: Office for Mac Home & Student 2011, Office for Mac Home & Business 2011 and Office for Mac Academic 2011. Pricing starts at $99 and heads north to $279.

    If they were offering upgrade pricing I might consider it. Though, really, Office 2008 often gets pretty bogged down – I’m not sure I’d trust Microsoft to release an updated application suite that actually runs better than the one before…
