The Reminders app is a handy way to manage your to-do lists. As you start to create new lists and add reminders, it becomes just as important to delete them. It’s easy to add items, but getting things done requires checking off those important tasks. While creating scheduled reminders can certainly help, it’s a good idea to visit your lists daily and update your lists. Here’s how to mark reminders as completed and hide them in your lists. Marking reminders completed is simple, but for the sake of completeness, here are the steps.

  1. Tap to select one of your reminder lists.
  2. Tap in the circle to the left of the reminder to mark it as complete.

How to show or hide completed reminders

As you mark items on your lists completed, they will either remain on the list or be hidden. You can easily change this based on your preference. At times, it’s nice to see a long list of completed items.

  1. At the bottom of each list is an option to Show Completed or Hide Completed. Tap on this to select either option.

Tip: If you mark an item completed, tap in the circle to mark it as pending. If you are hiding your completed items, you can switch to ‘Show Completed’ and tap in the circle to mark the reminder as incomplete.
