Logitech today announced the new Ultrathin Keyboard mini, a new mini-sized keyboard accessory for the iPad mini. Priced at $79.99, the Ultrathin Keyboard mini is available today for preorder from Logitech’s website.
Borrowing traits from the full-sized Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for iPad we reviewed, the mini is a complete cover and keyboard solution. Using Bluetooth, it will wirelessly connect to the iPad mini, which sits in the integrated stand. This isn’t just a keyboard, it’s a keyboard designed for iOS and the iPad, with a home button key and more. It will be interesting to see how downsizing the keyboard size affects typing. The width of the full sized keyboards is 9.50-inches with the new mini coming in at 7.87 inches.
For Valentine’s Day, the company also introduced a new red keyboard, which is expected to be part of their ongoing product lineup.
The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard mini is available for preorder in both white and black. No word on when these will ship.
