In an interview with the WSJ, Chang Ma, vice president of marketing for LG’s mobile-devices unit said “our tablet will be better than the iPad.” Apparently, the tablet will run Android, and will focus on the ability to create content, rather than just display it. Mr. Ma apparently isn’t impressed by how much work he can get done on the iPad, saying of the Optimus branded LG tablet, ”it’s going to be surprisingly productive.”
The tablet will be trained in on content creation, like writing documents, editing video and creating programs, with “high-end features and new benefits.”
The tablet will launch Q4 of this year.
Better than the iPad? I think I’m going to defer to Al Borlin about that.

The LG tablet will probably be better than the iPad, it’s not difficult. But… next year when iPad 2.0 comes out, it’ll be the best thing on the market again.
I’m not sure I’d want a pad it to do much more, most of us have home computers. The iPad is a cool device for kicken it on the couch with no cables. Maybe a built it bluray burner/player with a screen that will play wide screen at full resolution with the correct ratio and USB ports.
If they don’t make something very special, there is no way they will out due the iPad. I think these pad’s are going to be the way of the future with many options coming soon!
So many errors! Lol where is the edit button? Shoot!
If it has flash, a dvd slot, and USB port it will be better. Still can’t figure out why Apple left out these important features.
Apple didn’t forget. It’s called a Mac.
Then an iPad is called an oversized iPod touch

@Flyfunny5 …and is that a bad thing? It has all the capabilities of the touch in a larger format. Tv’s used to mainly come in sizes under 13inches. I don’t know about you but I have moved to larger TV’s. You could still watch TV on a little TV but it is more enjoyable to watch it on a larger screen. You can watch movies and browse the web on a small screen but it easier and more enjoyable on a larger screen…yet it still remains very portable.
