Kindle vs. iPad At Extreme Magnification

26x Kindle vs. iPad At Extreme Magnification

Want to know what the difference is between a Kindle and an iPad at extremely high magnification? Over at Bit-101, they’ve slung both devices under a microscope (a USB one that will set you back some $60 at Amazon). The image above is at 26x, the one below is 400x, both with the Kindle on the left. Cool, huh? You can’t really make a comparison here, as the experience of reading on an e-ink display vs. an LCD is arbitrary in which is better. Some people love how easy on the eyes the former is, others prefer the brightness of the latter. This is just cool to see how the tech goes together.

Now, lets sling an iPhone 4 under there, and check out the Retina Display!
