These days, just about every set of speakers you’ll run into have an iPod/iPhone dock on them. That’s great and all — except if you want to keep your iPhone on you instead of leaving it tied to a speaker. Enter Pear, a new Kickstarter project that adds Bluetooth via a dock. The Pear itself is a small dongle that clips into a dock, and has a built-in Bluetooth receiver. All you have to do then is pair it to your iPhone — or other device — and beam your music to the speakers. No need for Airplay, cables, or special speaker sets.
The Pear is already fully funded with two months of funding to go, so expect this thing to get huge in the very near future. The cool part? It’s actually really affordable, just $40 to get in on the deal. That’s a pretty good bargain for making every set of speakers in your house wireless.

Looks neat – think I might actually pick one of these up for my iPod Hi-Fi.
(Looks like “turns” is an extra word that isn’t needed in the title of this article.)
I’ll probably get one too. Seems really convenient.
Pre-ordered.
These can already be found for that price & cheaper on ebay … bought a $15 one a few months back (from China of course) and it works GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Might come in handy if the dock connector on the next iPhone is different and you don’t want to part ways with your docking stations!
