Kickstarter: GameDock Transforms Your iPhone Into A Games Console

Do you long for the days when everyone crowded around a television screen, peering at pixellated heroes jumping across the screen? Well, it’s time to bust out your wallets for another Kickstarter project. GameDock is being put forward by Cascadia Games, the company behind the iOS game Cavorite. Their planned GameDock is an iPhone dock that’ll allow 1080p output to your TV, and let you plug two USB controllers into the iPhone. Just like an old game console.

Early hardware is already compatible with the iCade family, and you’ll even be able to navigate which game to play by controller, from your couch. So, what do you need to get on board with this (assuming Nintendo doesn’t slap them down over the controller design)? Unfortunately, the early bird specials are gone, but $150 will get you a GameDock, HDMI cord, and one controller. The company is around 1/5 of the way to their $50,000 goal, but with 42 days left, I can see them hitting that mark pretty easily.
