There’s certainly no shortage of iPhone alarm/speaker combos, but the Kickstarter funded Day Maker at least does things a little differently. The Day Maker takes the fun “pop” of a toaster and applies it to your bedside table. That’s right, when the alarm goes off, your iPhone pops up — and you can either grab it and go, or push it back down and snooze.
It’s a cute idea, and one that’s taken the first steps to getting funded on Kickstarter. However, it has a really long way to go, sitting at less tan $10,000 of a $275,000 target. $100 will get you the Day Maker, and if the project hits the $385,000 mark, they’ll also create a single iPhone variant that’s a bit smaller. The project is only three days in, so you never know, they might even make it.
