By now you all know how this goes. Some punter sends an email to Steve Jobs (the shorter the better), and he fires back a word or two in response — if you’re lucky you get a sentence. Today MacStories reader Fernando Valente sent Jobs a note asking if a similar Apple controlled app store would ever make it to the Mac. He asked:
Hey Steve,
There’s a rumor saying there will be a Mac App Store and no software without authorization from Apple will run on Mac OS X. Is that true?
Jobs’ reply?
Nope.
Can’t argue with that!


Thank God. That rumor was freaking me out.
