iTunes 11 Gets Delayed Until November

Last month Apple announced iTunes 11, with the goal of it launching in October. That date has obviously slipped, and Apple has confirmed that the application is being delayed until November. Talking to the Loop, Apple spokesperson Tom Neumayr said:

“The new iTunes is taking longer than expected and we wanted to take a little extra time to get it right. We look forward to releasing this new version of iTunes with its dramatically simpler and cleaner interface, and seamless integration with iCloud before the end of November.”

Hopefully Apple can get it out sooner in November rather than later. And while this is a bit of a let down, I don’t think anyone in particular was clamoring for iTunes 11, so better it be out right than it be out now.
