Today has become a new iPhone part leak bonanza. Just this morning we saw what was claimed to be the new battery, and now NowhereElse.fr has arguably the most exciting part leak yet: the new miniature dock connector.
NowhereElse has been doing an excellent job of trawling Chinese sites for part leaks, and this one is a doozy. If the source is accurate, this is how small the newly redesigned dock connector will be. Look at that thing, it’s tiny! It’s thought that it will be direction independent, so like a Magsafe, you can hook it up in any orientation.
Unlike most of the other part leaks we’ve seen so far, this piece is a heavy departure from the current generation of iPhones, and as such, it’s hard to immediately judge its veracity. In other words, we have no real way of knowing if it’s fake or not — but it does seem to be around the right size and shape from the leaks that we’ve seen so far.
