iPhone Outselling All Smartphones Combined On Sprint And AT&T

Despite the constant claims that Android is winning the smartphone wars, not everyone agrees. Canaccord Genuity analyst Mike Walkley wrote a note to investors saying the iPhone is just about the biggest thing since sliced bread. According to his numbers (though he’s an analyst, so grain of salt), on Sprint and AT&T, the iPhone outsells all other smartphones combined.

“Our March checks indicated the iPhone continues to extend its market share gains. In fact, we believe iPhones are outselling all other smartphones combined at Sprint and AT&T and selling at roughly equal volume to all Android smartphones at Verizon.”

If true, that’s an incredible statistic. Better than all other smartphones combined. Given that smartphones now make up half of all new handset purchases, it looks like the iPhone is going to have a lion’s share of the market before long.
