A group of German researchers have demoed how to break into an iPhone in just six minutes, even if it’s locked, and how to pull all your passwords and information off of it. They take the locked phone, jailbreak it, and use an SSH app to install software on it. After that, they target Keychain, using an app to access it, and output all the information onto an attached computer. And, just like that, they’ve stolen all your details and passwords.
The researchers released a full paper on their findings, and were able to get passwords for emails, WiFi accounts, in-app passwords, and a bunch of others.
This does require access to the target’s iPhone, so keep your device nearby, and hopefully this won’t happen to you.

What’s new here…..? Once any iPhone is jail broken you gain root access to the entire directory structure.
And if you have a password program, say Splash ID?? Will that remain safe?
I doubt a password app would help.
I read the complete article it is if someone lost their phone or give it to someone for six minutes. I read the article yesterday, using find my iPhone to wipe your phone would do the trick.
Exactly – just go to me.com and wipe your phone in a few seconds.
