When will the iPhone be available in Australia

The iPhone will not be available in Australia until 2008.

It is likely when it does arrive that it'll be on the Telstra GSM network. Telstra is the only network in Australia that supports the EDGE technology the phone uses for high-speed data transfer.

I'm thinking by then Apple will have created 3G phones (to crack the HUGE Asian market) and that's what will be released in Australia. This then opens up the field to other 3G providers in Australia...Yippee!!
