Does the iPhone support existing iPod accessories

Yes, the iPhone will be compatible with most iPod accessories. Obviously, due to the new form factor, the iPhone will not fit in your existing iPod cases.

Umm that's incorrect...I have a berkin radio tramsmitter/charger for my car that is for the iPod...when I plug in my iPhone it says not compatible would you like to turn on airplane mode. Granted I never pressed yes to turn it on but it doesnt trasmit and seems like its not charging

Acually many of ipods accessories are NOT compatable. Most headsets require an adaptor. There are shielding issues with car chargers. New products will have an iphone compatable logo.
