This is a fantastic application and reconfirms that AOL is top notch. Is Apple that won't allow this to run in the background, not the fault of the application. My friends send me a regular text message telling me to start AIM then it's off to the races..........for free no less. Lack of notification services...

The AIM iPhone application needs to work in the background, just like taking a phone call. You should get a notification that a new message has been received even if you are in another application. Right now if I am in AIM and I want to pause the music I have been listening to, it makes me unavailable and I am not taken back to where I was when I return to AIM. aim
