Midomi

While the user interface of this application looks better than Shazam (another song identification app), the app's actual ability detect the correct song is horrible. I tested over 10 songs but Midomi only got 2 out of 10 correct while Shazam got 10 out of 10. Even thought Midomi features singing and humming, it won't be able to detect the right songs anyway because it can't identify songs correctly...

If you want an App that will identify songs on the first try accurately, stay away from Midomi and go with Shazam. Both apps are free so if you still want to try out Midomi even though its ability to correctly identify the song is way worse than Shazam, you can still feel free to do so without having to pay or actually buy the app.

This is a really cool app. I love telling people that I know to hum, say or type in a song a voila there it is.

My friends have found a way to use this as a great party game. Each person tries to hum a song into Midomi and the one with the correct title closest to the top wins!!!

This app is great to use for humming and singing. Haven't tried the lyrics option yet. However, Shazam is WAY better for grabbing off a speaker.

With this app you can sing/hum a song, say the words/titles, type in the title/artists, or just hold the iPhone next to the speaker to 'grab' the song title from cyber-space! This is the ultimate music search.
