As many people have said, Texas Hold'em is great for novices and experts alike. The user interface is wonderful, allowing you to fold by flicking your cards in, or go all in by pushing your stack of chips to the center.

The horizontal view is wonderful, with all the info you need: a ranking of your hand (simply touch and release to see how strong your hand is), pot and player info, even player histories.

My only complaint is about the vertical view. It is SO cool to actually have near-realistic players to compete against. But in this view you can't tell how much money other players have, or even how many players are in the pot. This means I am forced to constantly play in horizontal mode, even though I'd love to play more vertically. If Apple could find a way to show crucial hand/pot info even in the vertical movie view, this app would be incredible.

One other point about the AI (Artificial Intelligence). The computer players are a bit too aggressive. The easiest way to win is by simply folding every hand until most of the AIs have knocked themselves out with their constant all-in betting. Once you're down to 2 or 3 other players, you can start playing for real.

If you love to play Texas Hold?Em as much as I do, you?ll absolutely love HoldEm for the iphone. The ability to play in either landscape or portrait mode is a nice bonus and switches very smoothly. In single player mode, the computer players will actually bluff, which makes it a little more challenging. Playing multi-player mode supports up to 9 players, but you must be connected to the same network. However, the game did randomly lose connection a couple of times when we tried it. Unfortunately, it seems that once you?re booted out of the game, you cannot come back in to resume the game.

Overall, a game well worth the price.

I have never played poker before and I figured that I could learn and I did there is a line around your cards and the farther the line goes around your cards the stronger your hand is so people that have never played poker can learn. I love it the graphics are the best i have ever seen debatably better then my xbox 360. I love the game its the best game in the apps store easily.

Okay, so I am a Texas Hold Em player, so I am biased towards these kind of games....usually for phones they are something nearly to pass the time. Texas Hold Em for the iPhone goes much deeper, sexier and funner (wait, that's not a word...). WOW. The graphics are awesome.

Single Player Mode really is the key to this game. The multiplayer functionality is fun as well, but a career mode in a Phone Poker App is impressive. The game play is smooth....you can let it run out as normal as you like, or speed up through parts of the game that you don't want to wait on.

Folding with the flick of you pointer finger is fun in itself. The scrolling feature for betting is intuitive as well.

I recommend to card players, and novices alike. Great App.

This is an all new high for any handheld poker game. First off, it's really NO-LIMIT Hold 'em not just table stakes or fixed betting. While I am not the best poker player in town, it certainly provides a reasonable challenge at multiple levels. The interface is the real shining light of this game however. It is nearly flawless. If you are looking for a handheld version of "Turbo Texas Holdem" or other super high end poker learning tool, keep looking. This is not meant to be super customizable or a teaching tool. It's just ton of fun to pick up and play...Worth every bit of 5 bucks.
