For a simple, free game, Spinner Prologue is pretty cool. When I want to show off the iPhone's capabilities to friends, this is the one I pick. There's something surreal about watching a maze that keeps its orientation while you rotate the iPhone in the real world.

The concept is simple: the little yellow arrow always points towards your iPhone's home button. It moves forward at a steady pace, and you must rotate your iPhone to keep the arrow from touching the walls.

It gets old kind of fast, but—as I've said—it's a great game to let other people try. Definitely an "ooh" and "ahh" generator.
