This game has been one of my top favorites ever since I found it. It's simple and fast, starts up and goes straight into the game, and the interface is clean and easy to use. I picked it up right away, and although the AI is not very challenging, it always makes it to my short list of things with which to kill a few dull minutes. It doesn't require much brain power, yet always stimulates me and keeps me from going insane with boredom. I'll look forward to the upcoming successor, which sports more maps, stronger AI, and game saves. I've been a fan of the RISK genre ever since I was a boy, and this game hits it dead on. Get it before it ain't free anymore!

This is a great game for wasting short spans of time. It takes a few games to figure out how everything works due to lack of tutorial or in game instructions. There are some basic instructions on the developers web site but they don't do a great job of explaining the game.

The game starts out by giving you and the AI random selected territories. Each turn you get X number of armies which can be positioned in your territory. You will also receive bonus armies for controlling entire continents. As you attack opposing countries you gain cards. Once you have three cards you can turn in the cards for additional armies. If you succeed in taking out one of the AI players you receive any card in their inventory.

The only down side is there is no save feature. If you are interrupted and need to close the app you have to start over from scratch. Although this is only a minor gripe as a game can be complete in about 10-15 minutes. It would also be nice if it included multi-player. According to the developers web site these features will be added to a deluxe addition in the future.

If you grew up playing Risk then this game should appeal to you.
