Oh boy, it’s that time again! Let’s all lose our sensibility underneath the weight of the rumor mill. Today’s entry comes from China Times (Google translate version), and they’re claiming a Q3 launch of the iPhone 5, that it’ll have a four-inch screen, NFC technology, 5MP camera, A5 chip, and will have a new metal chassis to avoid the dreaded deathgrip.
The current crop of rumors says that the iPhone 5 will have similar dimensions to the iPhone 4, but have an edge-to-edge screen, which will bump it up to four-inches. Frankly, the only part of this rumor that really makes me doubt it is the Q3 release. Apple tends to be pretty strict on their annual product launches, and delaying the next iPhone would be pretty damaging.

I’m not so sure a Q3 release is so far fetched in light of the Japanese devastation. If any electronic components are sourced from Japan or R/D occurs in Japan, Q3 might even be a little optimistic.
