Their sources say that Apple will release the sixth generation iPhone nine days later on Friday, September 21st. Also included in the announcement will be a new iPod nano. It’s not clear if a new iPod touch will make an appearance at the event.

There have been a fair number of parts leaks and speculation surrounding the iPhone 5. Expectations are that it will include a taller screen, with the same width as the current generation. iMore predicted the move to a new dock, a rumor which has gained steam since being reported on by major news publications. If the parts leaks are to be believed, Apple will move the headphone jack from the top of the device to the bottom, a move made possible by the utilization of a smaller dock connector.

The iPad mini is said to be a 7.85-inch display and it’s questionable as to whether Apple will ship a retina display. The iPad mini could see aggressive price points that could result in a sub-$200 tablet.
