iPhone 4S To Hit China Telecom March 9

Apple’s expansion into China continues, with another carrier finally getting the iPhone 4S on March 9th. China Unicom has had the iPhone 4S for months, but the larger China Telecom hasn’t been able to sell it — yet. Even though China Telecom has been running ads for the device, they haven’t had any on shelves, but word has just come through that the carrier will finally have the phone on March 9. Pre-orders will open on March 2nd,

This is the first iPhone that runs both GSM and CDMA on the same device, so this also marks the first time both carriers will have exactly the same device. Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t have a way of getting on board with China’s largest carrier, China Mobile. China Mobile uses their own network, which isn’t found anywhere else in the world, requiring phones crafted specially for it.
