iPhone 4 Heading To 17 More Countries, Not South Korea

On Friday, July 30, the iPhone 4 will be debuting in 17 more countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Originally, this list was 18 countries long, but one country has been cut: South Korea. And they’re not happy about it.

South Korea is arguably the most wired nation in the world (they and Japan can argue over that award), and hype over the iPhone 4 was high. So, why isn’t it heading their way? “It’s going to take us a little longer to get government approval there,” is the only explanation given by Steve Jobs.

This is apparently news to the South Koreans, as none of the iPhone carriers in the nation had heard of such issues, and the government communications regulator said last week that the iPhone 4 hadn’t even been submitted for approval.

Well that’s crap. They can’t even maintain supply in the US to keep up with people wanting to get one (like me). So why keep extending the offering and not wait till they are able to meet the demands. Of course, it’s all about the money, not the customers. I’m really getting sick of Apple. Droids are starting to sound like an option for me, hate to day it!!!
