iPad Case

There will be plenty of iPad cases, but we suspect Apple’s iPad case will be a good selection for those who plan on taking their iPad out and about. The iPad Case from Apple is a book-cover style, similar to those we’ve seen sold with the Amazon Kindle. It’s priced at $39.00.

iPad Dock

The iPad Dock will likely be one of the more popular Apple iPad accessories. It allows you to dock your iPad anywhere in your house and showcase your new iPad. It’s priced at $29.00. Note: It will not charge the iPad unless you purchase the Power Adapter or unless it’s connected to your computer.

iPad 10W USB Power Adapter

Like many recent iPhone and iPod products, the iPad does not ship with a power adapter. If you want to power up your iPad, you have to use the include USB cable and connect it to your Mac or PC. For the option of charging at any electrical outlet, it will run you $29.00.

iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter

This accessory allows you to connect the iPad to a TV, monitor, projector or LCD display. Using the dock connector, you’ll be able to output photos and movies from the iPad to the target screen. The iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter is priced at $29.00.

If you happen to own an Apple Wireless Keyboard, that will also work with the iPad. It is priced at $69.00, but can serve double duty as a keyboard for your Mac and for your iPad. If you plan on doing any serious typing, we’d suggest the iPad keyboard dock, considering it allows you to prop up the iPad for easier viewing.

If none of the above are the perfect iPad accessory, you shouldn’t rush to add these to your iPad pre-order. There will be no shortage of third-party manufacturers offering accessories for the iPad. You can also expect your local Apple Store to have all of the above in stock. Did you pre-order your iPad today? Order any accessories? Let us know what you ordered in our iPad forums. Not a member?
