While we’re not in love with the 512MB of RAM, and many of the upgrades seen in the iPad 2 seem incremental compared to the original, the major new feature is the incredibly beefy new graphics processor? Just how massively powerful is this beast? The technically minded folks over at Anandtech compared it to the iPad 1 and the Motorola Xoom. The same Xoom that Fandroids always claim beats the iPad 2 in a spec fight. Guess what? The iPad 2 resoundingly trounced the Motorola tablet.
Can I get an “oh, snap!”?
It’s not quite the 9x improvement over the original that Apple claimed, but it’s a real world 3-7x leap, which is still incredibly impressive.
