iOS 6 Beta 2 Allows For Icon Reorganizing On Apple TV — Apps On The Way?

Despite running a modified version of iOS, Apple TV doesn’t allow you to gleefully add apps the way that the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad do. Hopefully that might change, as hinted by a newly discovered feature in iOS 6 beta 2. Spotted by the Brazilian language MacMagazine, the newest beta allows you to hold down the center Select button for a few seconds, which causes the icon you’re on to begin to wiggle.

After that, it’s a simple matter of moving it using the directional buttons, though tedious because you can only do this with one icon at a time. But, with so few icons on the screen, do they really need to be rearranged? That’s the question that has many people curious if Apple’s about to allow more apps onto the service. Re-arranging your screen is, after all, fundamental to being able to keep track of all the apps you have around.

Let’s just cross our fingers and hope that the App Store spreads to a new platform in the near future.
