Having a tough time understanding the supported device list. Can someone clear up exactly what this means? (1 – 2, 1- 2, 2-3 etc)

    iPad1,1 – 2,1 – 2,2 – 2,3 – 3,1 – 3,2 – 3,3
    iPhone2,1 – 3,1 – 3,3 – 4,1
    iPod3,1 – 4,1
(Support for iPad2,4 will be added at a later date)

Figured it out – nevermind. Another question though – The instructions say to backup then erase the device before jailbreaking because it will make the jailbreak quicker. I have 60GB on each device – so syncing takes a while I am wondering if it is possible to Jailbreak without erasing the device? The longer jailbreak time is probably way less than the resync time for me.

  3. Does anyone know when the Redsn0w version will be available?

  4. must be the heat – don’t understand what this means:

    iPad1,1 – 2,1 – 2,2 – 2,3 – 3,1 – 3,2 – 3,3
    iPhone2,1 – 3,1 – 3,3 – 4,1
    iPod3,1 – 4,1
(Support for iPad2,4 will be added at a later date)

    • In layman’s terms that’s: iPad 1, 2 and 3 in WiFi and 3G/4G versions, except for the newer, cheaper iPad 2 which contains a different processor structure to the original iPad 2. iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4 and 4S are all jailbreak-able, as well as the 3rd and 4th generation iPod touch.

  5. I have a ipad 2 wifi running Ios 5.1, will this jailbreak work on my ipad? Thanks

    • You’d have to upgrade to 5.1.1 because this jailbreak only works for that version. It will work on your iPad 2 if it’s the original iPad 2 and not the one with the different processor structure..
