iOS 4.1 Beta 3 Seeded

You know what time it is! Developers get their lucky little hands on the newest beta for iOS 4.1. It weighs in at almost 600MB, and is available via the usual sources.

I’m hoping for a fix for the proximity sensor and bluetooth problems. However, it is telling that this arrives the day after a major security hole was exploited for jailbreaking purposes. This might fix the PDF problem.

If you’re a developer and have the new beta, tell us what’s new in the comments! We’d love to hear any tricks or tips you have.

  1. Please be the proximity sensor! I’ve hung up on, put on hold, and muted countless calls in the week that I have had the phone. It gets pretty old, I must say.

  2. Yes, please be proximity fix!

Are we ready for more mixed results? :) My proximity sensor troubles since beta 2 have now disappeared and I can hold my phone a couple inches away from my head without the screen coming back on. A little further than the first beta (or even 4.0 for me). Needless to say I’m rather confused. I had no issues on 4.0 and 4.1b1… 4.1b2 gave me some funky sensor… b3 is back to normal. I would say better than I had originally, but since I can’t remember exactly how well it performed pre b2 I can’t say that with certainty. Hopefully we hear from more early adopters on this issue soon!
