Instagram has finally been sent out to Android (good for them!), and as part of the news that’s come out of this, Instagram has released some rather interesting statistics:

30 million+ Registered Users
1 billion+ Photos Uploaded
5 million+ Photos Per Day
575 Likes Per Second
81 Comments Per Second
Keep in mind, that these are all iPhone/iPod Touch users — not Android, not iPad, not anything else. 30 million users is astonishing, and 1 billion photos? 5 million shots per day? And those numbers are going to spike with it hitting Android — and how Instagram is spreading to other apps too.
