The crazy folks at iFixit went above and beyond to get their hands on a new iPad — the flew out their CXO to Australia to be first in line to get one, and then took it away for a live teardown. That’s right, they’ve already started a new iPad teardown, before most people are even in line for it.
So, what has iFixit found so far? As usual, the new iPad is quite difficult to get inside, and all the components seem to be very firmly held in place. The screen on this individual unit is from Samsun — and it’s still up for debate if the entire run of new iPads is too, or not.
The teardown is still in progress, so keep an eye on iFixit website as they take the new iPad to pieces.
