Here’s That Slightly Delayed Pebble App

Yesterday, the first batch of Pebble watches shipped out under a slight cloud as the iOS app hadn’t been approved yet. However, early this morning the app arrived in the App Store, giving everyone plenty of time to download and install it before the their Kickstarter backed smartwatch arrives in the mail.

Now, we have no idea how well the app works, as only the first few hundred units have even been sent out and tens of thousands of backers are still waiting on theirs — so here’s hoping it does all that it promises. But casting a glance over the app, is it just me or does it look a bit…amateurish? The whole thing looks like it was just slapped together without much polish. If it works perfectly, then I suppose it doesn’t matter. We’ll just have to wait for all the reviews to find out.

Pebble is the first watch built for the 21st century. It’s infinitely customizable, with beautiful watchfaces and useful internet-connected apps. Pebble connects to iPhone and iPod using Bluetooth, alerting you with a silent vibration to incoming calls, emails and messages. While designing Pebble, we strove to create a minimalist yet fashionable product that seamlessly blends into everyday life.
