Google Translate has been available as a web-app for years, and now Google has gone the whole way, and released it as an app. The app version adds a bunch of new features over the standard translation abilities:
- For 15 languages, you can speak into the microphone, and have the app translate your words
- The translation can be spoken aloud in 23 different languages
- A full screen mode shows the translation in large letters, making it easier to see.
There’s also the incredibly useful inclusion of phonetic translation, so you can attempt to pronounce what’s just been translated.
