Google Launches Cloud Print For iOS

cloudprint Google Launches Cloud Print For iOSGoogle’s newest iOS compatible service is Cloud Print, which will let you print straight from your mobile device to a networked printer. It’ll start rolling out today and tomorrow for American users, and you have to connect your printer to the cloud first. At present, this is PC only, but Mac support is apparently in the works.

Imagine printing an important document from your smartphone on the way to work and finding the printout waiting for you when you walk in the door. Just open a document in Google Docs or an email in Gmail in your mobile browser and choose “Print” from the dropdown menu in the top right corner. You can also print certain kinds of email attachments (such as .pdf or .doc) by clicking the “Print” link that appears next to them.

If you have a desktop with a constant internet connection, that’s a much more convenient printing method than getting an AirPrint compatible printer.
