Google+ has been a ghost town for months. After the mad rush to get in, everyone who really wanted to was, and then the flow of new users stopped dead, leaving it mostly abandoned. Google has just opened the floodgates, and set Google+ into open beta for all and sundry.
They’ve also added some new features for their mobile apps, like Hangouts (video group chat), improved SMS support, improved +1ing, edit your profile photo, and customize notifications.
So where’s that iPad app, guys?
From what we can tell, the new version hasn’t quite hit the app store yet, but it should be ready to download in short order.

If you read the whole engadget article, it does say that the update is only on Android 2.3+ for now.
