Giant Boston iPod Ad Is Illegal–Flies Anyway

The Boston Globe is reporting that a 13,750 square-foot iPod banner that Apple has in Boston, is in fact illegal, yet remains up. The banner apparently covers a whale mural, on the side of a storage building on an expressway.

According to the article, the dealings to place the ad were rather shifty, and there are insinuations that the only reason it still stands, is that the man who brokered the deal is a friend of Boston mayor, Thomas M. Menino.
