Four Years with an iPhone 3G

You have to hand it to Robert Falck, four years with a single smartphone almost feels like some kind of record. On his website, Falck has put together a post about how he’s been using his iPhone 3G for four years, and the things he still loves and hates about it.

That’s incredibly impressive when you realize just how old the 3G is when compared to more recent iPhones. It has an ancient screen, can’t record video, and by now isn’t supported by the vast majority of apps — but for Falck, it works well enough to keep using.

It’s a bit unnerving for me, because I also started with an iPhone 3G, but have upgraded every two years — first to the iPhone 4, and most recently to the iPhone 5. I still have my iPhone 3G in a box somewhere — and I find it hard to imaging going back to it. Four years with the same iPhone? That’s mighty impressive.

Which makes me wonder? How long have all of our readers been using their own phones? Are any of you even close to that? And if so, got a picture of what it looks like these days?
