One of the potentially more interesting features that will arise with iOS 6 is Passbook, which will bring all sorts of mobile shopping features together: coupons, loyalty cards, tickets, and more. However, so much of its success will depend on how it’s adopted amongst retailers, and until it gets into the wild, it’s hard go figure how it will play out.
That said, this adorable video from iOptimal gives something a feel for how it might end up working. It shows various ways customers and stores can interact with the app, and gives a bit of a taste of how we might use it.
That said, with stores already putting coupons on Yelp, Foursquare, Facebook, and other location based services, will they be willing to hop on board another? Especially one that is inherently tied to one OS?
