synching i phone

brought an iphone and can´t synch it .Only the photos come up as able to download to pc .Can´t synch to i tunes or even to the pc any help gratefully recieved.

Was the phone activated when you got it?
What type of PC and Operating System are you using? And do you have the latest version of iTunes installed?

In general, I would tell you to do the following.
1) Try a different USB port
2) Try a different cable
3) reboot both the phone and PC and try 1 and 2 again

Download your photos through windows and then you might want to try clearing the settings on the phone.
Settings, General, reset, reset all settings.

put the phone in DFU mode. Reinstall the latest version of iTunes. Do these things if the suggestions above don't work out.

Will give it a go .The phone I think was activated brought it from a good friend who had used it for 10 days before me and had uploaded music but for me it doesn´t work .Using windows xp .
