Sync itunes and outlook

i am running the newest version of i tunes windows xp pro and outlook 2007 and cant get itunes to even see any options at all to sync my iphone with anything ... but if i plug in my ipod it give me all the options... now iv tried un-installing and re-installing both itunes and outlook, iv tried creating a new user, iv chequed to see if the add-in is disable in outlook (witch its not).
any ideal on how i can sync my iphone so i have the callendar and most importantly MY CONTACTS!!!

just a FRIENDLY ADVICE: LEARN TO SEARCH AND READ...being a member of ANY FORUM, you must not be lazy on reading. You will get an answer thru reading in the forum for sure...hope this help

See its funny you say that because I 'M NOT LAZY.... iv already looked at that link and have tried the solutions showed there and none of them have worked. that is the reason for why i started a new forum...

You can't sync with just outlook or anything at all? Will it sync with iTunes at all? (any hockey fan is ok with me, Red Wings fans are the best though!)

and no it wouldnt give me any options at all but i formated my pc and re-installed windows and now it syncs i have no idea what was causing this problem
