Ipod syncing with windows media player

Yeah, so itunes wouldn't work on my computer, so what. I looked for something else, and I found it. It is this thing called Dopisp. It lets you sync your ipod with your windows media player. This really helped me. Now, I was wondering how to download things like apps to my itouch, third party ones. How would I do this? There is a section in the syncing list called misc. but I dont know how to download for one apps, and two put them in a folder so they would appear under the misc in the windows media player. this is a simple question or two.
