Default How do I move photos and video from my iPhone

I can't figure out how to Sync my photos from iPhone to iTunes to make sure i have them saved.

My wife and I use the same PC and am trying to figure out how to backup the Photos from hers and my phone into iTunes. Or is there an easier way?

With Iphone connected and Itunes open, click your device to open the tabbed window for sync options. Click on photos tab and put a check in "sync photos from" >>> my pictures folder is already listed in the box. Then put a dot in selected folders. Put a check in Iphone desktop. It will sync your device pics to the pc. You may sync any pics from that folder and that option will appear in the list if you have any already on the computer. Similar process with videos. Click sync and select your options. The box has options of what to sync if you click the small arrows inside...all unwatched, etc.

I made a new folder on my Desktop called iPhone Photos. I put the Check by Desktop and Selected iPhone Photos and ran a Sync and nothing was put in the iPhone Photos folder, it is empty still

Try selecting the pictures folder or creating the Iphone Pictures folder in My Documents. You can always put a shortcut to the desktop for this folder. It may be the folders' location on the desktop causing a problem?

When you plug in your iPhone, your computer should automaticaly detect it as a digital camera. Open My Computer and it should be listed there as [Your name]'s iPhone. Simply double-click to open it and all photos and/or videos captured with the iPhone should be there and able to be copied/backed up. iTunes itself cannot handle importing of photo/video from your iPhone.

I think iPhone is one of the easiest way to do something when you fully understand. Just sync it and you will get what ever you want in the right places.

See my post above. There is no way to sync your photos from the phone to your computer like you do through iTunes. Your computer automatically detects the phone as a camera and lets you simply copy/cut-paste them right off the phone.

Default Import Photos from iPhone (Works on Vista Home Premium 32bit)

I wasn't able to open the iPhone folder and copy and paste to my desktop either so I explored other solutions.
Once I plugged my iPhone into the computer it appeared in my computer.
I right clicked the iPhone icon and there it was the magical menu item that everyone seems to want. "Import Pictures" Now I am using MS Vista Home Premium and that may the the difference between others who cannot import. But this worked for me and there were options as to where to store what to name copy/move(delete from device) etc. So Hopefully if you have photos/videos on your iPhone you can use this method.
