Default Blue Screen of Death when 3G connected.

I just thought I would let people know my experience from the other day.
I got the BSOD about 15 times, everytime I plugged my phone in. Running XP.
I updated drivers for USB devices as my searching suggested. Still no change.
Purely by accident I touch one small section of the phone-USB cable and it was warm in one little section.
I changed out the cable, PROBLEM SOLVED.

Hope that might help someone one day.

Glad to hear you got it solved. Yeah, the three things to check when getting errors on the PC side are usually Drivers, ports, and cables.
