Wi-Fi wont connect

hi ,

ths is my first post and i just got my iPhone ( unlocked)
was so exited and triend to connect to the Linksys router at home ... but cant

i use a mac filter at home , i also added the mac address to the router, and use 128bit WEP , i enterd the ket to connect to the network and then its says connection failed , tried so many times ...

can any one help me pls ,

also what is EDGE ??? i have no idea what it is ... , can some one be kind to tell me too .

Edge is ATT's network.

When you say you entered the mac address, are you referring to the iPhone's mac address or your PC?

On the iPhone (settings/about/wi-fi address) is the one you need to use in your mac filter.

Also, if your connection is secured, make sure you are entering your encryption key exactly as it is for the router.

Sorry if this is common knowledge to you. It's the best I could think of at this hour of the morning.
