Default Please help me connect to my home network!!

I have been trying to connect to my linksys(WRT54GS) at home. I setup my router with:
Automatic Configuration - DHCP
WAP Personal Security.
I have the correct key
Wireless MAC Filter: enable (even listed my iphone's Mac address)
The wifi in my iphone detects the network but when Im asked for a password I enter the key and it tells me that is the incorrect password. What is the password that I should be using?? is it the key? should I change my security setting to a WEP instead of WAP??
I have tried changing DNS server, static IP , and a million other things that I have found on this forum and others.

Is there anyone who can point me to something that might help.
I'm sure is probably something really dumb and simple but I just can't see it
And thank you for taking the time to read my post!!!

I always start out by connecting without any security, to ensure everything else works.

After that you can turn on WPA (more secure than WEP). MAC filtering isn't all that effective, but if you want to do it do it after you have WPA working.
