iPhone (original) WiFi issues

I have been using the original iPhone for a year. Never had a problem. Now suddenly my WiFi has somehow become weak! While my 3G gets full-bars, my original gets 1! If the 3G gets 1 bar, the original doesn't even find it.

I'm in Canada so no Apple Store support for the Original iPhone here. Is it a software issue?

And btw, it is just me or does the front of the original iPhone look so much better that the 3G?

I don't think it's very likely that software is the cause of your problems, but the only way to be sure is to try a restore.

And, btw, everyhing about the v1 looks better than the 3g.

I have restored it... updated... everything and it still doesn't work.

So an Apple Store is the best option then?

one of my friends had the same issue, wifi on his original iphone just went out. he took it in to the apple store and because it was out of the year warranty they told him to go blow smoke. sucks but it happens, these things don't last forever. hopefully you are still under warranty.

No, I'm not under warranty anymore. But they would still repair it if I pay them right?

no, i don't think they will. I've heard apple has stopped servicing v1 iphones.

And I always thought that Apple had great customer service.
