    mac address is assigned to your iphone can't be changed
    its hardware dependent you would need to change the hardware.

    or are you asking about the IP address ?

    Yeah I knew it has to do with the hardware but its just a series of hex #'s;
    There are programs to do it on a pc or mac, so u know its not the ip I wanna
    change. I read on some website (which I can't find) of a guy who sshed into his iPhone and was able to change its mac address. I tried using Mobile Terminal using this code '& sudo ifconfig en1 (desired mac address)' but nothing. So anyone has any more ideas.......

    I remember having problems in BSD over this a long time ago. Have you tried using ifconfig JIC?

    [added later] Nope - was worth a try though, stranger things have happened.

    On some *nix setups you can just do

    ifconfig [interface] ether 01:02:03:04:05:06

    to set your mac address to 01:02:03:04:05:06 until the next reboot of course.

    I try this (with en0 as the interface) on my iPhone and it looses my terminal so it looks like something's changing.
