Why does iPhoto Upload Duplicate Photos?

    How come each time I upload photos from my iPhone to my MacBook using iPhoto, they upload the same ones? I even select don't upload duplicates. I have so many duplicates.

    Could the duplicates be photos you have edited slightly and whatever program saves them to your camera roll? I know this isn't an answer, but maybe you should switch the sync to manual so you can just sync the newest ones until you / we find the real reason.

    They have not been changed, and they are taken with the camera from my iPhone 4.
