I used the IvySkin Quattro with my IPhone 3G and it was amazing. I love the fact that the screen cover was made of glass and truly protected my screen!!! The case itself was easy to slide on and extremely durable...this is very important as my friends call me the "Dropper". The case was also very sleek and very smooth to touch. I liked it so much that I have ordered another for my new iPhone 4s. You can also purchase battery extenders.

I love my LifeProof case, nothing compares to it. But to those people who think otherwise, I'd say look at the Trident cases here: http://www.tridenteer.com/categories/Apple-iPhone-4{47}-4S-(Universal)/.

Or try the Ivyskin Wrangler here: http://www.ivyskin.com/iphone-4-case/iphone4-wranglercase.html. Ivyskin has bad reviews from all over the place but i thought it was a nice case.

And last on my list Similar to the LifeProof case but with some disadvantages 1. you cant charge it in the case and 2. it's not available yet: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/catalystlifestyle/escapecapsule-waterproof-iphone-4-case

If you have broken A LOT of IPhone's like I HAVE. I have come to depend on the BALLISTIC case. It has a screen protector.

a co worker of mine dropped his in a ballistic case. Still broke the back glass. I emailed them twice about it with no response. I sold him the case, so I felt responsible. I wanted to see if ballistic would make good on it because the front would pop off easily. When he dropped it, that's what happened and the phone flew out and broke. So ballistic basically ignored me. So every chance I get, I spread the word. So good luck to you. You better off with an otter box or life proof. Otterbox customer service is second to none.

Ballistic sucks? Good to know. Just the other day I was discussing it with my boss. Now I will have some concrete facts I can share with him.

Thanks.. I am going to check this one out. I bought a new iphone4 and lifeproof case... I take good care of my electronics, but I foolishly let my 5 year old carry it home from the bus stop. I figured even if he dropped it... he is pretty short and shouldn't hurt it. He dropped it and glass on the iphone shattered. The lifeproof case did not even protect my phone from a less than 3 feet drop. I was very disappointed. To make matters worse, their customer service is terrible. I did not have the phone or case for more than 90 days before this happened

I had the LifeProof case as well, and I wasn't too thrilled by it; too hard to install and open if I needed to, plus I had to use that dock extender to use my iPhone dock.

In the end, I went back to my Otterbox Defender case and haven't looked back.

Seems like your leaving something out of this story. I've had a lifeproof since they were released. I've dropped mine countless times. Even left it on my tailgate of my truck one time and it flew out onto the street at 30mph. Tore the case all up but my phone was perfect. I called lifeproof and told them my story. I tried to buy a replacement but instead sent me one free of I provided damage pictures. That's customer service. I'll continue to stick up for them because it's an excellent product. I think when your kid dropped yours, it had to have fell perfectly on a rock and hit the screen. In that case, (no pun intended lol) no case would have protected it.

I've seen firsthand phones still get a shattered screen in an otter box and ballistic case. None of them are a 100% guarantee.

Like others have said, I have to go with the Otterbox Defender. Been using it for 2 years. Also it does discolorate, it's still great protection.

Ltzguy - You've seen an iPhone using an Otterbox Defender still get a cracked screen? I call that a careless phone owner.

So after 55 posts and over 6-months of opinions, I surprised that this debate is still going. I'll chime in (again) my wife had an otterbox in her 3Gs from purchase date. Didn't take it off till my daughter inherited it. 2 maybe 3 years in the case. Phone was in new condition. Nice case.

I bought an otterbox for my 4 and used it till I got the lifeproof. For me, the LP was slimmer and didn't have the rubber casing on the outside. Easier to get in and out of my pocket. I hated looking like batman with that rubber block on my belt.

While I agree nothing is 100% indestructible, both are better than the rest. I change cases to fit the situation. Most of the time I'm lifeproofed.

So, Target, what case are you using now? - my 99-cent silicon form fitting cover. It suits my needs today.

I think a $50 Otterbox Case that will last definitely for more than a year is a good investment.

How about http://www.casemarine.co.uk/ ? Although the ad looks a lot like a LifeProof, and the concept that it is not yet available is like a LifeProof originally was.

iphone 4s, with iPhone 4 Battery case, Anker Eix 1700mAh External Battery CasePower Skin on theideasforgift web store, for me, it's the best one give me the freedom to use your iPhone 4 without the daily worry of running out of battery life.
